Photography by Alastair Carew-Cox

Alastair Carew-Cox is an award winning architectural photographer specialising in digital tilt and shift photography. Based in the Midlands, he covers all areas receiving commissions from many of the UK's leading architectural practices and construction companies.

He has collaborated with international architectural associations with his photographs having been shown in exhibitions throughout Europe and also in Japan. With a BA Honours degree in Visual Communications and a background in 5"x4" plate camera photography, a passion for architecture and a natural empathy with the subject, Alastair now uses a Canon 5DSR, with tilt and shift lenses, that enable him to correct perspective.

He also specialises in the photography of stained glass which has lead to his work being featured in many publications. He has produced a trilogy of books on Pre-Raphaelite stained glass, the latest of which, Saints & Symbols, was published in January 2021, to wide acclaim. In 2020 he was honoured when The Royal Mail chose three of his images of stained glass for the 2020 Christmas stamps.

He has recently launched a range of Arts & Crafts and Pre-Raphaelite greetings cards which are beautifully printed on sustainable Woodland Trust paper, which helps to capture CO2 and plant trees.
